May has been one of those months that kind of eats you alive. I haven't really been able to do much serious reading at all ever since I finished The Inheritance of Loss, other than making my way through the stack of unread New Yorkers by my bed. But May is just about over (only one more week of teaching!), and I'm moving to LA in less than a month to tackle my goal of doing as much reading and writing and as little work as possible, so I'm ready to start back up again.
I'm kicking off my summer of reading with The Intuitionist, by Colson Whitehead. I've been meaning to read this one for a while, and I have pretty high expectations of it, so let's hope that it can deliver. (I also really want to read it because Colson is going to be at the Tin House Writer's Workshop that I'm attending in the beginning of July, so it would be good to have read something of his before watching him speak.)
